This is What my Weekend Tasted Like- So FULL

December 1, 2014 Miranda Hammer

This time of year can be tricky for even the most virtuous. Social and familial gatherings, where we are perpetually inundated with "un-virtuous" eats, can pose quite a challenge. I am all about balance, having some indulgences (Yes, I had many bites of pie.), yet using each morning to start the day anew. Despite this mentality, I have to admit that the next six weeks are riddled with obstacles.

I stumbled across this recipe in Gwyneth Paltrow’s It’s All Good and have been hooked ever since. My good friend loves mixing it with quinoa for added mileage. No matter how you toss it, this simple dish is a sure fire way to utilize your cauli in a filling and nourishing fashion.  Thanks GP.

my favorite way to eat chickpeas

November 20, 2014 Miranda Hammer

My favorite way to eat chickpeas is as poppers, of course! Chickpea poppers are the perfect way to brighten your salad in place of bacon, zip up soup instead of croutons, or pump up your party in place of potato chips. Crispy and crunchy, these nuggets are a blank canvas for various seasonings and spices. My recipe below is a variation on the popper theme, which I frequent regularly.

my favorite way to eat oatmeal

November 13, 2014 Miranda Hammer

Oatmeal is one of my most favorite ways to start the day. I view oatmeal as a blank canvas, open to seasonal interpretations and variations. Currently, pumpkin oats with wintery spices topped with fresh pomegranate seeds and raw cacao nibs is my favorite way to warm-up, fuel-up, and start the day.
