hey! I am Miranda,  a Registered Dietitian, natural foods chef, native new yorker, and self-proclaimed veghead constantly in pursuit of the optimal balance of delicious, clean, and nourishing food. I am passionate about cooking wholesome and health-supportive dishes and revel in sharing the eating experience with loved ones. I have also been known to enjoy a good tequila on the rocks or a glass of wine and truly believe that balance is key inside and outside the kitchen. 

I currently work with brands, websites, and magazines on content and recipe development as well as offer nutritional counseling for private and corporate clients. I received my Masters from the Clinical Nutrition Program at New York University and completed my clinical rotations at New York Methodist Hospital. My professional culinary training is from the Chef's Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts. My past work experience includes serving as a Clinical Dietitian at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.  Throughout the course of my graduate and undergraduate studies, I performed various roles in the restaurant industry where I learned a great deal about cooking and food service.

My interest in nutrition sparked while spending countless hours in the dance studio where I learned the essential relationship between enhanced performance and adequate nutrition. I continue to dance recreationally and now integrate running, spinning, circuit training, yoga, and pilates into to my fitness regimen.

When people hear that I am in the field of nutrition, the question that typically follows is “What should I eat?” Well, there is not quite a linear answer, and I too am continually asking questions and am eager to learn about food. So, by writing about what I am cooking and featuring tidbits about the nutritive benefits of food, I hope to share my knowledge and learning experiences. 

I currently reside in NYC with my husband, our baby Jack, and our inquisitive Jack Russell,  Henry Pepper.
