Most people long for a bronzed summer glow and want to avoid clogged pores and a sweat stash. Not only can layers of sunscreen result in break outs, but jet setting, rosé, and perspiration may cause unwanted inflammation. Joanna Vargas, facialist to the stars, shares her DIY remedy to get your skin back to a glow worthy end-of-summer state.
End-of-Summer Skin Clearing Mask by Joanna Vargas
End of summer is all about detoxing and calming inflammation and breakouts. This mask will stimulate the lymphatic system to pull out toxins and also soothe skin that is breaking out from too much sweat and sunscreen.
- 1/2 cup of organic yogurt
- 2 tbsp mint leaves, minced
- 1/4 cup cucumber, peeled and mashed
- 1/4 cup of oats
Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl. Apply all over the face and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with a warm washcloth.
